Professional aviator of over twenty years with 3,500-plus hours of combined military and civilian flight time.  Extensive experience across multiple aircraft categories and types, from light piston aircraft to high-performance fighter jet and heavy multi-engine commercial widebody aircraft.  Comprehensive background in everything from the simplest hands-on, single-piloted cockpit to the most highly automated, complex, all weather, multi-piloted flight deck.  Highlights include:  

  • Former U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 pilot with thirteen years of active duty flight experience and three years in the U.S. Navy Reserve flying the EA-18G Growler electronic attack aircraft

  • Over 2400 total military flight hours and more than 1600 sorties accrued during stateside training, multiple combat deployments, aircraft carrier operations, and flight instructor tours

  • Extensive squadron leadership experience in training, operations and management culminating in a tour as an Executive Officer(second in command) of a squadron of twelve F/A-18 aircraft and 180 personnel

  • Trained by the U.S. Navy School of Aviation Safety as an Aviation Safety Officer and Crew Resource Management Instructor

  • Holder of the FAA’s highest civilian flight rating of Airline Transport Pilot(ATP) as well as Certified Flight Instructor(CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument(CFII)

  • Employed since 2016 by FedEx Express flying the MD-11 primarily on international routes to Asia, Europe and the Middle East

  • T-34C Program Manager – Supervised the operation, maintenance and standardization of three T-34C aircraft assigned to the​ ​squadron for the purpose of low-safe target clearance and logistical support

  • Additional Duties: Flight Schedule Writer, Flight Officer, Public Affairs Officer, Admin Officer 

 2008 - 2009​: Forward Air Controller, 2D Air-Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO), Camp Lejeune, NC

  • Ensured the safe and effective integration of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aviation ordnance and indirect fires in support of friendly ground forces

  • Responsible for 11 enlisted Marines, two officers and several million dollars worth of tactical equipment, vehicles, weapons and classified material

  • Deployed to Iraq and served on a Transition Team with an Iraqi Army infantry battalion

  • Two deployments to the Western Pacific AOR (WestPac)
